Abstract

BUNTING Alloy 923 is a cast copper-tin-lead-zinc alloy that possesses a good combination of machinability, strength and resistance to corrosion. It is known also as 87-8-1-4 alloy or Leaded G Bronze. It withstands gas or liquid pressures quite successfully. Its numerous applications include valves, gears and bushings. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and compressive strength as well as fracture toughness. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as casting, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Cu-367. Producer or source: NL Industries Inc., Bearing Division.
