CARPENTER S7 is a general-purpose air-hardening tool steel characterized by high resistance to impact and shock. It has good resistance to softening at moderately high temperatures. This combination of properties makes it suitable for many hot-work and cold-work applications. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness.
