ALLOY 815 is a general-purpose iron-chromium-aluminum alloy for moderately high-temperature applications up to 2150 F. It was developed especially to provide greater ductility and hot strength than was previously available in other low-cost alloys of similar composition. It is used in a wide variety of small appliances and various types of industrial equipment. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, and tensile properties as well as creep. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-343.
