Abstract
Copper Alloy No. 993 is a copper-nickel-aluminum-cobalt alloy with unusually good heat-resisting properties. It was developed for use in molds for glass containers and also is used for sheet-glass rolls. Compared to cast-iron (the alloy commonly used for molds), Copper Alloy No. 993 has four outstanding advantages: (1) high thermal conductivity, (2) high hardness, (3) high resistance to oxidation and (4) good dimensional stability. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and tensile properties. It also includes information on high temperature performance as well as casting, heat treating, and machining. Filing Code: Cu-338. Producer or source: Copper alloy foundries.
