PYROMET A-286 is an age-hardenable austenitic iron-nickel-chromium alloy designed for service up to 1300 F (704 C) on jobs requiring high strength and good corrosion resistance at the operating temperature. It offers high ductility in notched sections. Pyromet A-286 is used in jet engines and superchargers for various high-temperature components. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness and creep. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-340. Producer or source: Carpenter.
