Copper Alloy No. 865 is a copper-zinc-aluminum-iron-manganese alloy that is classified as high-strength yellow brass. It has a tensile strength about 20,000 psi greater than that of the corresponding copper-zinc (yellow brass) alloy; however, it is around the low-strength end of the manganese bronzes. Copper Alloy No. 865 has an excellent combination of strength and ductility and good corrosion resistance. Its many uses include gears, propellers and marine hardware. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as casting, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Cu-344. Producer or source: Copper alloy foundries.
