Abstract

NUCALLOY 45 is a nickel-chromium-boron alloy which derives superior wear resistance from the presence of hard nickel borides (and to a lesser extent chromium carbides) tightly held in a nickel-rich matrix. It is used in many commercial applications because of its toughness and high resistance to attack by many chemicals. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Ni-238. Producer or source: Stoody Company.
