Abstract
FERRO-TIC CN-5 is comprised of ultrahard tungsten carbide micrograins cemented by an age-hardenable copper-nickel alloy matrix. It is particularly suited to resist sea water corrosion. Its structure provides a wear resistance that is unattainable in other alloys with similar corrosion resistance. Its maximum operating temperature is 850 F. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and elasticity. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: Cu-316. Producer or source: Chromalloy American Corporation.
