COLMONOY No. 8 is a nickel-chromium-boron alloy recommended for hard surfacing parts to resist abrasion, corrosion and oxidation. Its high chromium (nominally 26%) contributes resistance to high-temperature oxidation and promotes the formation of chromium carbides for greater abrasion resistance. It is supplied as atomized powder for application with Wall Colmonoy's SPRAYWELD and FUSEWELD processes. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and compressive strength. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and powder metal forms. Filing Code: Ni-230. Producer or source: Wall Colmonoy Corporation.
