Abstract
AMSULF is a free-machining copper combining high electrical and thermal conductivities with a machinability rating of 85% of free-cutting brass. (Conventional oxygen-bearing and oxygen-free coppers have ratings of 20%). AMSULF copper offers uniform machinability; in addition, it is resistant to hydrogen embrittlement because it is based on oxygen-free copper. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and shear strength. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Cu-125. Producer or source: Amax Copper Inc..
