METCO 447 is a nickel-aluminum-molybdenum powder developed to produce self-bonding, low-shrink, moderately hard coatings. It is recommended for resistance to wear and particle erosion, and for the buildup and salvage of both machinable and grindable carbon steels. It is applied in a one-step, single-coat buildup generally by ThermoSpray, but it may be applied by plasma spraying. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as machining, surface treatment, and powder metal forms. Filing Code: Ni-225. Producer or source: Metco Inc..
