Alloy Steel 8124 (Nonstandard, using AISI-SAE numbering system) is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum carburizing steel for use where a core of medium strength and toughness combined with a wear-resistant carburized case is sufficient. This steel can be used also without carburizing for many machinery components and structural purposes. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: SA-326. Producer or source: Alloy steel mills and foundries.
