CANNON-MUSKEGON 4140 is a medium-carbon cast alloy steel with good hardenability, strength and toughness. It is used in large quantities in the investment casting industry. A higher silicon content is permissible in this steel than in AISI 4140 (wrought) alloy steel. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties.
