CRUCIBLE CSM 420 is furnished in the annealed condition designed primarily for use in the molding of all plastics, including the vinyl-base and other corrosive plastics. Crucible's exclusive Densified process is used in the manufacture of this steel to insure freedom porosity, pinholes or voids. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: SS-314.
