Abstract

Copper No. 147 is a high-conductivity copper to which sulfur has been added to provide free-machining characteristics. Because of its excellent machinability, it is used for parts that require extensive machining and for general screw-machine applications. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and shear strength. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Cu-298. Producer or source: Copper and copper alloy mills.
