Abstract
ALUMINUM 2017 is an age-hardenable wrought alloy of medium strength and ductility. Its service temperature is below 212 F. It is used for general engineering applications, such as transportation equipment, machine parts and fittings. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and shear strength as well as fatigue. It also includes information on low and high temperature performance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Al-58. Producer or source: Various aluminum companies. Originally published October 1957, revised August 1974.
