Abstract

CARPENTER STAINLESS No. 7-Mo is a two-phase alloy consisting of a ferritic matrix with pools of austenite. It has high resistance to stress-corrosion cracking and pitting, and good general corrosion resistance in many environments. Its principal use is for tubing and pipe in heat exchangers involving corrosive conditions. It is normally used in the annealed condition for maximum corrosion resistance and ductility. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness. It also includes information on low and high temperature performance, and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: SS-298. Producer or source: Carpenter.
