ALUMINUM 2024 is a high-strength wrought alloy that responds readily to an age-hardening heat treatment. It is recommended for applications requiring highly favorable strength-weight ratios. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and shear strength as well as fatigue. It also includes information on low and high temperature performance, and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, and machining. Filing Code: Al-23.
