FERRO-TIC CS-40 is a tool steel comprising titanium carbide particles bonded in a matrix of high-carbon high-chromium martensitic stainless steel. It is machinable and heat-treatable by conventional means, and is recommended for wear-resistant components where corrosion resistance is a requirement. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and elasticity as well as fracture toughness. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: TS-258.
