Abstract

G Babbit is a lead-base bearing alloy high in arsenic (2.5-3%) for high loads and speeds. It was designed to provide relatively high strength and hardness, especially at elevated temperatures. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fatigue. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as casting, forming, and heat treating. Filing Code: Pb-11. Producer or source: Federated Metals Corporation, ASARCO Inc..
