AISI Type M30 is a high-speed tool steel containing 8% molybdenum and 5% cobalt. It provides long life in machining difficult-to-cut metals, such as heat-resisting alloys and superalloys, and is recommended for cutting tools requiring a good combination of suitable toughness with optimum cutting qualities.
