Abstract
ALUMINUM 392.0 is a hypereutectic aluminum-silicon alloy developed for die castings which require high resistance to wear and abrasion. Applications include variable speed pulleys, automotive clutch friction rings, cylinder liners, sheaves, and brake drums. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as casting, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Al-199. Producer or source: Aluminum Company of America.
