Abstract
AISI Type 430 is a ductile, non-hardenable type of stainless steel recommended for parts requiring a combination of good formability, weldability and corrosion resistance. It is used for architectural trim, food and dairy handling equipment, chemical and oil refinery plant equipment. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness, creep, and fatigue. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: SS-227. Producer or source: Stainless steel mills.
