EB alloy is a high-carbon chromium alloy steel for general hot-work applications. It possesses good compressive strength and hot mechanical properties. It is recommended for hot header and gripper dies, shear blades, hot rivet sets, forging dies, cold forming and embossing dies. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and compressive strength as well as fracture toughness. It also includes information on high temperature performance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: TS-217. Producer or source: Allegheny Ludlum Corporation.
