Abstract
AISI Type 502 is a corrosion and heat resisting 5% chromium alloy steel. It is generally used in the annealed condition only. It is recommended for oil refinery and chemical plant equipment, oil pump impellers, etc. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness and creep. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: SS-211. Producer or source: Stainless steel mills.
