Abstract
AISI is the columbium-bearing stabilized grade of stainless steel recommended for corrosion resistant parts requiring welding. It is also recommended for parts which are intermittently heated and cooled to temperatures between 800 and 1650 F to avoid intergranular embrittlement. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, microstructure, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness and creep. It also includes information on low and high temperature performance, and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: SS-218. Producer or source: Stainless steel mills.
