Abstract
AISI No. 616 is a hardenable martensitic type stainless steel recommended for high temperature applications up to 1200 F. It is used for steam turbine blades and buckets, valves, jet engine components, and high temperature bolting. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and compressive strength as well as fracture toughness and creep. It also includes information on low and high temperature performance, and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: SS-200. Producer or source: Alloy steel mills and foundries.
