Aluminum A357 is a high strength, pressure tight sand and permanent mold aluminum casting alloy. It is age-hardenable. It is recommended for cast gear cases, cylinder heads, transmission cases and strong structural castings. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and compressive and shear strength as well as fatigue. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as casting, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Al-163.
