SIMONDS #81 is a cobalt, tungsten, chromium permanent magnet steel that is capable of developing moderately high coercive force along with high residual induction when it is in the hardened condition. Strong magnetic fields can be achieved with fairly short magnets and the configuration desired can be obtained with castings or by fabrication from rolled bars, sheets or plates. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, and machining. Filing Code: SA-202. Producer or source: Simonds Steel Division, Simonds Saw & Steel Company.
