Abstract
AISI Type-A2 is a high-carbon, chromium, molybdenum tool and die steel having excellent non-deforming properties, abrasion resistance, toughness and good machinability. It is used for blanking and forming dies, rolls, punches, gauges, broaches, etc. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and compressive and bend strength as well as fracture toughness. It also includes information on forming, heat treating, and joining. Filing Code: TS-168. Producer or source: Tool steel mills.
