Abstract
Alcan 162 is an aluminum permanent mold casting alloy having low coefficient of thermal expansion, good wearing characteristics and retention of strength at elevated temperatures. It is age hardenable. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and compressive and shear strength as well as fatigue. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as casting, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Al-142.
