HWD-2 is a chromium-molybdenum-vanadium hot work steel particularly useful for hot work die operations that are water-cooled in service. It is particularly useful for die casting, extrusion and forging dies. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness.
