STAR-M0 M-2 is a tungsten-molybdenum high-speed steel of the 6-6-2 type having good red-hardness quality. This alloy corresponds to AISI type M2. Star-M0 is also available in Free-Machining type, to which sulfur, in the form of alloy sulphides, has been added for better machinability and increased tool life. This datasheet provides information on composition, hardness, tensile properties, and bend strength as well as fracture toughness, and deformation.
